11th U.S. store for De Beers

The 700-square-foot boutique will feature new collections by De Beers Creative Director Raphaele Canot, including “Talisman,” “Ice on Fire” and “Radiance.” The store also will include high-end jewelry and bridal.

The 700 square-feet boutique will feature new collections designed by De Beers creative director, Raphaele Canot, including Talisman, Ice on Fire, and Radiance. In addition, bridal, exceptional one-of-a-kind high-end jewelry, and signature collections, such as Wildflowers will be featured.

Tiffany To Open A Second Store In Toronto

Owned and managed by Oxford Properties Group, Yorkdale’s architecturally stunning interior was expanded in 2005 to encompass 1.6 million square feet, with a soaring 60-foot-high glass atrium and newly designed wing to include luxury retailers. Tiffany & Co. today announced plans for a July 2008 opening of a store in the coastal city of Qingdao, China. The approximately 2,000-square-foot store will open in Hisense Plaza, the city’s premier destination for luxury shopping, located at 117, Ao Men Road, in the Shi Nan District. Qingdao is famous as a summer resort, with a strong cultural heritage and scenic setting.

She wore the Sophia necklace and the Galigai earrings, both in white gold and diamonds. The Brand New Heavies performed at the event. N’Dea, the lead singer, also wore a creation of the Maison Boucheron: the Shanghai necklace set with a 12 carat cushion-cut ruby, paved with diamonds and bowl-shaped rubies on white gold

Tiffany sells, leases back its London Flagship Store

Tiffany & Co. reported today that it has sold the building housing its flagship store in London for the price of £73,000,000 (approximately $149,000,000 at the sale date) and simultaneously entered into a 15-year lease with two 10-year renewal options. Tiffany had acquired the building at 25 Old Bond Street and an adjoining building at 15 Albermarle Street in 2002 for a total cost of $43,000,000 (U.S. dollar equivalent at the acquisition date). The acquisition was made in order to combine the buildings, renovate and reconfigure the interior retail selling space; that work was completed in 2006, allowing the Company to complete this sale and leaseback as planned.

Jeweler names renowned architect Kengo Kuma for Ginza building project

Tiffany & Co. unveiled yesterday a new design for the Ginza building that houses its Tokyo flagship store. The design is the creation of Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and his design firm Kengo Kuma Associates. Mr. Kuma said that his design inspiration is “a jewelry-like architecture that echoes Tiffany’s visual identity.”
